Yuanli builds waterjet cutting machines on a configurable platform, not from a fixed list of models. The question we ask first is not which machine you want — it is what you need to cut. Platform size, head count, control, positioning and imaging are specified around that answer.

A gantry platform built to a specified configuration. Platform size, head count, control, positioning and imaging are set at build time.
This page explains what can actually be configured, what an OEM or ODM programme involves, and what we need from you to propose a specification.
Most waterjet specifications fail for one of two reasons. Either the platform is sized from the parts a shop cuts today, and outgrows them within a year. Or the head count is chosen first, and the platform turns out too small to use it.
Configuration is how both are avoided. Because the machine is built on a platform range rather than assembled from a catalogue, the specification can follow the geometry instead of the geometry being fitted to a standard model.
These are the parameters that can be specified when the machine is built:
| Configurable item | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Working platform size | The part envelope — what fits on the table in one setup |
| Cutting head quantity | Single, dual, or up to four heads on one gantry |
| Control console | How the machine is operated and programmed |
| Positioning system | How the workpiece is located and aligned |
| Imaging / vision system | Capturing the slab or part image on the table for the program to work from |
| Tilting table | Loading and handling of large-format material |
| Tube cutting platform | Cutting tube and profile rather than flat slab |
| Colour and branding | Machine finish and branding for OEM and ODM programmes |
The list is the platform's configuration range, not a menu of options added to a finished machine. Changes are made at build time because that is when they are structurally possible.
A specification starts from your work, not from a brochure. Send these and our engineers can propose a configuration:
Material — stone, quartz, sintered stone, ceramic, glass, metal, composites
Material thickness
Working size — the largest part you need to cut in one setup
Your drawing, or a nesting layout if you have one
Required cutting head quantity
Production volume — parts per shift, not an annual number
Required cutting angle, where your work includes bevels or angled faces
Special processing requirements — anything unusual about the geometry, the material, or the handling
Tell us what you need to cut. We'll propose the right configuration.
For brand owners, distributors and integrators, the platform can be built under your own identity.
OEM covers machines built to your specification and delivered under your brand — machine finish, colour and branding are configurable, and documentation can be prepared for your market.
ODM covers configuration work: you bring the application or the market requirement, and we develop the platform specification around it while the machine carries your identity.
Both are built on the same platform range as our own machines, so the underlying engineering is the same. If you need a configuration that is not in the list above, that is a conversation about whether it is achievable rather than a refusal — send the requirement and we will tell you plainly.
1. Requirement — you send the material, thickness, part size, drawing, head count and production volume. A sketch with the part envelope and the operations you need is enough to start.
2. Engineering review — we check the geometry against the platform range: what envelope covers your parts, how many heads the nesting supports, whether the positioning or imaging systems are needed for your work.
3. Proposal and quotation — you get a specification and a price for that specification. Where a parameter cannot be met, we say so rather than adjusting the requirement.
4. Build and acceptance — the machine is built to the agreed specification, then tested and shipped with installation and operator training.
What can actually be customised on a waterjet machine? Working platform size, cutting head quantity, control console, positioning system, imaging or vision system, tilting table, tube cutting platform, and machine colour and branding. See the table above.
Do you build machines under our brand? Yes. OEM and ODM programmes are built on the same platform range, with machine finish, colour and branding configurable and documentation prepared for your market.
Is there a minimum order for a custom machine? Custom configuration is a matter of engineering work rather than order size, but the effort only makes sense where the requirement genuinely differs from the standard range. Send your requirement and we will tell you whether a standard configuration already covers it — often it does.
Which platform size do I need? The largest part you need to cut in one setup decides it, plus margin for how the part is clamped and how many parts must sit on the table together. Send the part envelope and we will confirm.
How long does a custom machine take? Lead time depends on the configuration and on which parameters differ from the standard range. We give a delivery schedule with the quotation rather than before it.
Can you match a machine to an existing installation? Send the drawings or the specification the machine has to work with, and we will tell you which platform and configuration fits.
Send what you have — a drawing, a part envelope, a photograph of the finished piece, or just the requirement. We will tell you which platform and configuration covers it, and where a standard machine already would.

Send us what you need to cut — or see the standard range first: waterjet cutting machines, 5-axis, 3-axis and the Water Bridge SawJet.
Custom configurations are also built around the water bridge machine for stone fabrication platform when a shop needs both a saw and a waterjet head.
