Waterjet Contours & Internal Cutouts
Workpieces may require an external profile, internal openings or a combination of both. Waterjet cutting follows a programmed path to produce these features according to the drawing.
Reviewing Your Design
For internal cutouts, machine selection and cutting settings depend on the material, thickness, opening dimensions and required finish. Slab support and piercing settings also need consideration, particularly when processing brittle materials.
Please send a CAD drawing showing:
• External dimensions and material thickness
• Internal openings and their positions
• Small holes, narrow sections and corner details
• Dimensional tolerances and edge-finish requirements
• Any bevels or angled features
Selecting a Suitable Machine
A 3-axis waterjet may suit flat profiles and vertical cutouts. If your design includes bevels or angled features, discuss an AC 5-axis configuration with our team.
Sample Testing Before Selection
A test cut helps you assess the edge finish and geometry on a representative sample. Share your drawing, material and production requirements to discuss a free test cut. Testing arrangements will be confirmed before the test.
