Stone work is judged on the finished edge and on the fit of the opening. A machine that holds accuracy only around the outline of a slab still leaves you reworking sink cut-outs and bevels by hand. On a Yuanli 5-axis waterjet platform the whole sheet is cut from one programmed position, so the edge profile and the opening come off the table together.
Marble is cut at an indicative maximum of up to 100 mm on Yuanli 5-axis platforms. Quartz, sintered stone, granite and engineered stone are cut to the finish your project needs; the machine configuration is confirmed against the material, the slab format and the edge profile before the order is placed.

Sink and hob openings are the part of a stone job most likely to go wrong on a saw. The blade has to enter the slab, the corners carry a radius set by the blade width, and a chip at the rim means the piece is reworked or replaced.
Waterjet cuts them cold, in one setup, after the slab is positioned. The opening, the faucet holes and the outside profile are programmed in the same job, so the position of the cut-out is held relative to the finished edge rather than transferred from a template. There is no heat at the cut, which matters on engineered and resin-based surfaces where a local heat source can affect the material around the opening.
